Fanfare Cycling endeavors.
Always In search of the perfect bike part. Fanfare is the never ending project. Starting with a line of bike hubs we set out to improve upon a few niche markets that are poorly represented in the bike industry for design and variety.
Our first full project is the GROUP-A hub. With larger bearing surfaces, over-sized flanges, accepting of multiple axle standards, and borrowing aesthetics reminiscent of race cars of the 1980's, it all works together to reach the goal of creating a strong and durable dirt jump hub that riders can see and fell the benefits of and have the confidence to ride harder and longer on.
The Development team for the Group-A front hub are:
Jamison Britton: Creative & Marketing Director, Industrial Designer.
Mike Meyers: Head Engineer, President of R&D.
Cody Gessel: Product review & testing, Professional Athlete.
Hector Saura: Professional Athlete.
Steven Bafus: Professional Athlete.
Tom Hall: Professional Athlete.
With Rider Cody Gessel we have had great exposure to our product. In a recent video by C4 Media and Deity Components "Brakeless in Virgin" Cody rode to new levels (using our prototype front hub) helping the video to go viral within the action sports and mountain bike community. The film has been featured on Red Bull , PINKBIKE and a number of other prominent action sports sites.
We are also referenced in an article with DIRT Magazine as one of Cody's sponsors.
Previous to this project I designed and built a "large" axle road wheel-set that remains compatible with current standard drop-outs. We are currently testing this wheel-set and have seen noticeable improvements in the handling characteristics of our test bike.
